Fur Everywhere: Happy Birthday, Gabriel and Mom Sierra

Hi everybody, it's me, Gabriel. Guess what today be?!

Today be MY FIRST BIRTHDAY!!

Technically this means me is not a kitten anymore, but Mama says me will always be her baby cat.

Me had a good year this year. Me found a loving home with Mama and my big brother, Giovanni!

Mama thought it might be fun for me to share some of the things hers has learned about me during my first year of life.

Me loves to be around Mama's neck! Me jumps up on her back and dig my claws in and climb up to her neck. Then me wraps myself around her neck and watches the world from up there. Me does this at least once a day but usually several times a day. Mama likes to call me her "orange scarf." Hers loves it when me wraps my warm, fuzzy body around her neck. Hers says me is so warm and soft.

Hers says me is a caretaker kitty like Angel Carmine. Me knows when Mama be upset or stressed and me will be her purring orange scarf so hers feels better. She says me is very sweet for comforting her.

Me loves my noms! All kinds of noms. Me gets so excited at mealtime. Mama feeds me and Giovanni Churu everyday (me gets a hairball one), and Mama has figured out hers cannot hand-feed it to me. If hers does, me gets quite possessive of the treat and refuse to let go of the tube,0 even when it be empty! Me gets very upset if hers tries to take the empty tube away. So hers puts it in a bowl for me to lick up, MOL! Giovanni has learned not to get between me and my Churu, too!

Me has lots and lots of energy. Me bounces all over de apartment everyday. Right now, my favorite toys be plastic springs and ping pong balls! Me also really loves chasing de laser pointer dot at playtime.

Me is an adventurous cat! Me loves escaping de apartment and going into de building hallway. Me knows where the other kitties live on our floor, and me goes to their doors in hopes that me will see them! Me is not such a big fan of dogs, MOL.

Me likes to follow Mama around here and there while hers cleans. When me gets tired, me naps mostly in my big cat tree on the very top. Sometimes me naps in a scratcher bowl or on Mama's bed with Giovanni. When me curls up with Giovanni, me must bathe his head and face before we can nap together.
