Then I noticed Lita scratching her ears, and Milita never scratches at her ears unless something's wrong (like when she had a food allergy several years ago). So, I had D look in her ears, and he saw the same brown gooey stuff in hers as well.
So last Wednesday, I put them both in carriers and took them to the vet.
Carmine weighed in at 9 pounds 3.5 ounces. Milita weighed in at 12 pounds 4.5 ounces. Milita has to go on a diet, and she is NOT pleased about it!
Milita: Can you believe the v-e-t wants me to go on a diet?!
I'm very thankful that my babies are feeling better!!
We hope you all have a wonderful day today!
Ugh to the vet trip! We're glad that in this instance, it was an easy fix and that everyone is doing well now.
ReplyDeleteThe vet visits - we hate seeing our carriers and if it's just one carrier out we play the "not me" game! We're pleased your vet stopped your ears from being yucky though so it must have been worth the visit.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
I am glad the ears are feeling better, but yikes! Diet is a four letter word!
ReplyDeleteGreat to know about you are feeling better!
ReplyDeletePoor kitties hope their ear infection gets better soon. Diet, oh no! I have been on one for ages but I get a bit of extra protein from outside. :)Skipper
ReplyDeleteOh good, glad you got that cleared up in a hurry.Hope everyone has a great day.
ReplyDeleteEar infections are definitely not fun. Glad the kitties are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteI am glad this was a simple fix, clearing up nicely!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad everyone's better! Well, not so glad about the diet. Binga and Boodie got good reports from the vet - she even hinted that Boodie (the largest kitty of the three of us) could use a little MORE weight!

ReplyDeleteI am glad that the ear infections cleared up quickly so hopefully you don't need another vet visit.
ReplyDeleteTrips to the vet are no fun, but we're glad that they cleared up your ear infections so quickly!
ReplyDeleteDid the vet say how they got it so you can be sure that it doesn't happen again. Glad both babies are better now. Our very first cat Skooter had this. It's been so long ago, I don't remember what she told me. Sorry about the diet. I think that's going to happen to Giulietta the next time she goes to the vet. I can hardly lift her anymore. Hugs, Janet
ReplyDeleteWe're happy Carmine and Lita's ears are better now.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the gooey thingie is over and gone too!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend!

So glad the kittens are feeling better!!
ReplyDeleteI have two that need to diet too!!
it happens so fast!
Isn't it amazing how quickly something can turn up? I'm always amazed but thankfully, even with all the fosters that we've had, transmitted stuff has stayed to a bare minimum.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww glad the ear infections are clearing up!! Wishing you and yours a peaceful restful weekend! Take care
