Jewel's Journey

Dilute tortoiseshell kitty by a sliding glass door
Jewel really enjoyed laying by the sliding glass door at her former owner's home, and she also liked spending time outside.  When we moved into Jewel's former owner's home as housemates, it was Spring.  The house had no air conditioning, so we often had the sliding glass door open.

Jewel, being the intelligent cat she is, figured out that she could open the screen door with her paw and let herself out.  She did this quite often, and once Carmine and Milita followed her outside (they are strictly indoor cats).  After that incident, I had to block the screen door so that Jewel couldn't let anyone, including herself, outside.

My Jewel sure was smart, and she definitely knew how to get what she wanted!

What kinds of mischief do you get into at your house?

  1. Jewel was such a pretty kitty. That was clever of her to open the screen door :) With 15 cats, the mischief here never ends.

things too and when Dad hears BANG BANG BANG I am getting into the cabinets again. He put away anything that may not be kitty safe so I can go and explore. You never know when an introoder may come in!

  15. Jewell was pretty clever! We don't have a sliding door here otherwise we'd probably try that trick too.
