Why Siamese Are the Best

Hi everyone, Milita here today.

I thought since the Mom had a busier week than usual, I would give her a little break and help her with today's post.

In this short little video (about 3 minutes) you can learn more about Siamese cats (like me!).

The Mom says she really likes flame point Siamese kitties.  But do you know what her favorite kind are?  LYNX-POINT - because we are the best!

The video says that we talk a lot, but that is not the case with me.  I only talk when I want my dinner.  Carmine actually talks a lot more than I do.

I am intelligent, sophisticated, regal, and outgoing.  The Mom says she loves a lot of things about me (what's not to love?), but she says one of my favorite qualities is that I give her hugs, and I am one of the only cats she knows who does that (Coltrane is the other cat she knows who gives hugs)!

What's your cat's favorite quality?

  7. We had a beautiful tabby cat many years ago that would hug around our necks so firmly that you could just let go. She'd hang there with her nose in our ears purring very loudly.

  8. Oh Milita, you are adorable! I guess that not all siamese kitties are big talkers. You are a great kitty and I know that your Mommy loves you more than the sun, moon, and sky.

  9. We use to have a Siamese female...a bit to chatty for me, but love the smarts and blue eyes ;) I prefer Ragdoll cats. Ragdolls can come in Lynx as of May 1998. By the way, their is no such thing as just "Lynx Point" in any breed, Lynx is an over-lapping pattern on the cat's body that goes over their first color\pattern, like Milita would be a Blue Lynx Siamese. Hope this was helpful! She is beautiful!

  11. After my Angel Sashi went to the Bridge, I said that I wanted my next cat to be either a Siamese or tortie. My mother said that a Siamese's chatter might be too much, which is why I adopted Tara, my first tortie. Little did I know that they are chatterboxes too, and I love it ;)

  13. My human had a black cat that had a Siamese mother - he was built just like a Siamese, and had quite the voice, but he had jet black fur.

  14. We love Meezers, too, MOL! Wanna know why?? I think you know...tee-hee!

You are such a purrty kitty, Milita!

We both talk, but Minko has a soprano mew, whilst Pipo has the more sometimes strident mrouw. He chirps and paws his peeps fur attention.

Two of our now angel furblings were huggers, too. That is so sweet when they do that!

  16. You are very pretty Milita. My mum tells me I must have some Siamese in me from my very distant past because I talk a lot and always have the last word. I hug my mum too. I put a paw either side of her neck to hold her and push my head under her chin.

  19. Siamese cats are so, so beautiful. I've never had one as part of the family, but I've currently got a BIG talker. Waffles talks more than ME! ; ) Katie is much more soft spoken.

    Happy Caturday!

  23. Dads first Heart Kitty was a Siamese named he called "Ming the Merciless" after Buck Rogers nemesis from the planet Mongo. He gave her that name as she was always bringing him presents of prey that she would show him and then leisurely eat on the floor. Some were as big as her and she would jump up six feet to his bedroom window to bring them in. A formidable cat she did not suffer fools easily and would bite any person who gave her a pet for one stroke too long. She also would pee on his girlfriends clothes, until she accepted them at least.
I am Dads Heart Kitty now and I give the best hugs. I lay beside Dad at night and grab his arm in my paws and look up at him purring while he reads me a bedtime story.
Angel Ming gives us all pointers in our dreams so she is always just a nap away.
Thanks for a great post and for letting me share my Siamese Angel furend.
    Timmy
