The Black Cat Knocks on Wood Book Review

The Black Cat Knocks on Wood: A Bad Luck Cat Mystery book coverThe Black Cat Knocks on Wood by Kay Finch is the second book in A Bad Luck Cat Mystery series, and I was thrilled when it arrived in my mailbox for review because I adored the first book in the series, Black Cat Crossing.

Sabrina is having a hard time concentrating on writing her latest mystery novel.  Her Aunt Rowe and her fun-loving friends have chosen to participate in the Texas Hill Country Senior Pro Rodeo.  However, Rowe and her friends have no experience in this area, and Sabrina worries for their safety.

Another problem keeps Sabrina from writing her novel - a local businesswoman is found dead - right after a black cat makes an appearance in her office.  Sabrina worries that her cat, Hitchcock, will take the fall, as he is known around town as, "the bad luck cat."  To make things worse, Rowe's friend, Pearl, is the prime suspect in the businesswoman's murder.  Sabrina has to find out who's really responsible quickly to protect both Pearl and Hitchcock.

I absolutely loved this book!  Hitchcock's antics never cease to amuse me, and I think cat lovers everywhere will adore this little black mancat.  Sabrina seems a little less impulsive in this book, which I really appreciated.  Her Aunt Rowe is always entertaining - she's a stubborn woman who will do as she pleases, whether anyone else likes it or not.

I believe cat lovers and cozy mystery lovers everywhere will enjoy this book.

FTC Disclosure: I received a copy of, "The Black Cat Knocks on Wood: A Bad Luck Cat Mystery," by Kay Finch for a fair and honest review.  Receiving the book did not influence my opinions.  All opinions expressed on Fur Everywhere are my own.
