Milita's Monday

Lita hangs out on my bed, resting so she can get well.
Hi everyone, it's Lita today.

I know the Mom told you about how sick I've been lately last week.  I still feel crummy, but I wanted to come and say thank you for all the purrs, prayers, love, and hugs you all have sent me.  We really appreciate all of you so much!

I have been taking this nasty-tasting pink stuff called Amoxicillin since last Thursday.  If my fur looks disheveled, it's because I spit some of my medicine out on my fur, and then I like to shake my head and get some of it all over me when the humans quit fussing over me at meds time.

Despite my best efforts, though, I am getting plenty of the gross medicine.

I am not coughing nearly as much as I was.  I am still coughing a little, but it is much improved.  It sure is nice to be able to breathe easier and not be coughing so much!
Our friend, D, holds me after I've had my medicine.

I am even eating a little more than I was.

I still feel crummy.  The Mom can tell.  I am a little livelier than I was last week, but I'm spending a lot of time hiding out in Jewel's cube.  The Mom says it's a good place for me to get a little rest where the orange one Carmine can't bug me too much.

The Mom says these are all great signs.  She wants me to feel all better now, but she says we have to focus on the fact that I am improving, even if it is taking longer to get me well than she (or I) would like.

So, it does look like I am fighting another bout of pneumonia.

Thank you all again so much for caring about and loving me!  You all are the bestest friends a ladycat can have!

  6. I am glad you feel a little bit better, Lita. Even a very slight improvement is going the right way. After a week I am sure your mom will see a bigger improvement, and hopefully in 2 weeks you will feel better than you have for a long time. I would purr for you if I could, but I will send good wishes and love instead, and a hug for your mom.
