Happy First Gotcha Day, Gabriel!

Today be MY FIRST GOTCHA DAY!!!!!!

One year ago today, me came to live with Mama and Giovanni! Me was only 10 weeks and a tiny baby then! Here me be the day Mama and I first met at my foster home. Mama gotted to meet all my siblings (we were all named after trees, which Mama thought was adorable!), and while hers kept asking about my light orange brother Cedar, hers finally listened to me—me had to practically throw myself in her bag to get her to listen—and hers chose me! Me is sure thankful my persistence paid off and Mama listened.

Me thought it would be fun to share a few photos of mes from my first year of life here in my forever home. 

Mama knew me is a climber from day one. De very first day me was allowed in de living room, me flew up to de top of de cat tree! Me loves to be in de highest spots in de house. Mama made sure to get me a really tall cat tree after we moved so me could be up high where me can see everything. Me hangs out on one of de highest perches a lot; it be one of my favoritest spots!

This was one of my favoritest spots when me was a baby. Me loved this tiny tree. Me thought it was made just for me!

When me was small, me really liked sitting on de air purifiers. Mama is kind of glad me is too big to comfortably sit on them now, but me still manages to turn them off every so often, MOL!

Me has always been a suckler. When me was a baby, me was obsessed with suckling on Mama and Giovanni. Giovanni hated it, but me insisted on suckling on him anyway. Hims is really happy me doesn't suckle on him anymore! But me DOES suckle on this special blankie Mama gotted me several months ago. One of my favorite times of de day is when Mama first wakes up. Hers hangs out in bed for a bit and scrolls her phone and me curls up right by her and suckle away on my blankie. It is special Mama and Gabe time.

Me is not a velcro cat, but me sure does like to be on Mama's shoulders. Me jumps on her back several times a day and climbs my way up to her shoulders. Then me wraps around her neck like a scarf. One of Mama's nicknames for me is "Orange Scarf." Hers especially likes me being her scarf in de winter when it be cold. 

Me likes to be involved in what Mama is doing. Me will eat breakie with her, watch the tele with her, and sometimes me even helps her cook, clean, or make de bed. Me is quite de curious little mancat. 

Of course when me is done snoopervising, it be time for a nice long nap, sometimes with my big brother Giovanni! Me has always liked hanging out with Giovanni. Hims be a cool guy, and hims even lets me bathe hims head before me settles down for a nap with him. 

It has been one exciting year—me left my brother and sisters and gotted a new big brother and de human Mama me wanted, we moved to a new place where me has more room to run and play with Giovanni, me  grew lots, me has gotten to eat lots and lots of tasty foods, and me has made lots and lots of cool friends! Me can't wait to see what my second year brings!!
