Hi everybody, it's mes, Gabriel.
Me hasn't been feeling so good for de last couple of weeks. Mama took me to de vet last week, but it wasn't our usual vet, and let's just say de vet me saw last week was not helpful!
Me is nauseous and my belly hurts whenever me eats. Me hides after my meals cause my tummy hurts and me no feel good.
Mama says we is going back to de vet, but our PRIMARY VET this time, on Wednesday so they can run some tests on mes and figure out what be going on with my belly.
Mama is trying to manage de symptoms de best she can, but me still feels crummy. Mama gets really sad cause hers doesn't like seeing me not feel well. Hers is a good mama, and me knows hers is doing her best to get me some answers and relief as soon as hers possibly can.
The Mom here: Gabriel hasn't been eating all that well lately. He is in obvious discomfort after eating. His primary vet and I decided it would be best to do baseline bloodwork, a GI panel, a pancreatitis test, and an abdominal x-ray on Gabriel on Wednesday. She will also give him a physical exam while he's there. Gabriel has to be fasted for 12 hours for his tests. I imagine he won't be overly thrilled about that. He doesn't know this is part of the deal yet.
I have been giving him cerenia and famotidine, both of which are helping some, but I'm pretty certain he is also experiencing pain, so I'll be asking for pain medication for him on Wednesday as well.
I really hate seeing my baby hurting. I'm not sure what is causing his tummy troubles, but we intend to get to the bottom of it this week so we can get him on the path to recovery.
Gabe and I would appreciate any purrs, prayers, healing vibes, positive thoughts, etc that you'd like to send his way.
We will be sure to keep you posted on what we find out.
