The Changes are Coming

Hi everyone, it's mes, Carmine!

Yous know how the Mom said there were going to be some, "major changes," around heres?  Well, mes decided to ask hers about that, and here is how it wented.

Carmine: Mom, yous said there is going to be some major changes taking place around heres.  Yous know wes kitties hate change!  So what is wes talking about heres?

Mom Sierra: Don't worry, Carmine.  I know you and Lita don't like change.  We will be implementing the change very gradually so you have a lot of time to adapt.  

The vet Lita saw last week wants you two to start eating a new diet.  

Carmine: A new diet, huh?  Mes and Lita happen to like the diet wes has now.

Our Trip to the Vet

About a week and a half ago, I noticed that Carmine was itching his ears.  He does this sometimes when they get a little dirty, so I had our friend D look at them and clean them out.  He told me he found some gooey stuff in Carmine's ears.  I noted it to tell the vet when Carmine was due in for his quarterly appointment (which was last Wednesday).

Then I noticed Lita scratching her ears, and Milita never scratches at her ears unless something's wrong (like when she had a food allergy several years ago).  So, I had D look in her ears, and he saw the same brown gooey stuff in hers as well.

So last Wednesday, I put them both in carriers and took them to the vet.

Carmine weighed in at 9 pounds 3.5 ounces.  Milita weighed in at 12 pounds 4.5 ounces.  Milita has to go on a diet, and she is NOT pleased about it!

Milita: Can you believe the v-e-t wants me to go on a diet?!

The vet discovered that the kitties had some kind of ear infection, so she prescribed Endoderm for them.  The medicine worked really fast!  Their ears all look better, and we are working on finishing the course of treatment now.

I'm very thankful that my babies are feeling better!!
