Milita and I have been taking good care of Mommy the past three days. She has been very sick. Milita and I take turns sitting by Mommy or taking naps with her. I was giving her lots of snuggles this morning. She is getting better and she should be back to posting again soon!

I love this picture of Carmine because it illustrates how absolutely adorable and crazy he is! We quickly discovered Carmine will eat anything that is NOT edible!
His laid back attitude toward life has taught me many good life lessons. First, he constantly reminds me that life is not all about work. We all need some time to play, rest, and rejuvenate ourselves.
Second, he reminds me that no matter what kind of day I'm having, I can always count on Carmine to be a source of comfort and unconditional love. Oftentimes, we get depressed, lonely, or struggle with difficult times. Cats remind us that there are wonderful blessings in the world around us.
Finally, Carmine reminds me how important confidants are in everyday life. As independent as all of us, as Americans, try to be, we cannot deny the fact that we all need support from others, whether that be from friends, family members, teachers, preachers, counselors, or even our pets. Cats can serve as the listening ear, comforter, or shoulder to cry on that we undoubtedly occasionally need.
