MaxFund Black Tie Fundraiser

I received an e-mail about this event and wanted to pass along the details as I know MaxFund does some great work.  I hope some of you can go to it or will pass the information along to any family or friends who might live in the area.

MaxFund is a no-kill non-profit animal shelter.  The organization takes in injured, abandoned, and abused animals, nurtures and cares for them, and finds them good forever homes.  Something that impresses me is that they care for and find good forever homes for special needs animals as well.  As an owner of a special needs cat, I can appreciate the extra care special needs babies need (and they are *totally* worth it, by the way!).  They also provide low-cost veterinary services to pet owners, such as spay and neuter, dental, vaccinations, and x-rays.

On October 13, 2012, MaxFund will hold its largest annual fundraiser, "Puttin' on the Max."  This year's theme is "Tails of the Night," which was inspired by all of the great stories the animals at MaxFund Animal Adoption Center have.

The fundraiser is a black tie event, featuring Jim Benemann as emcee for the night.  Jim Benemann is an anchor with Channel 4.  There will be a live and a silent auction with items to bid on, entertainment provided by the Cleo Parker Robinson Dancers, and a pet parade.  The event will begin at 5:30pm with a cocktail hour and silent auction.

This year, the event will also include a raffle.  You do *not* have to be present at the event to win the raffle prizes.  First prize is a two night stay at Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.  Second prize is a two night stay at Reserve Hotel in Central City.  Third prize is a one-night stay at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, including breakfast.

Tickets for "Puttin' on the Max" are $100 each, $175 for a couple, or $900 for a table of 10 people.  You can purchase tickets at MaxFund Animal Adoption Center, located at 720 W. 10th. Ave., Denver, CO 80204.  Alternatively, you an purchase tickets from this website.

If you would like more information on this event, you may visit the MaxFund website or contact Shannon Van Dzura who is MaxFund's Events Director by e-mail at shannon@maxfund.org.
