How to Sell Books by the Truckload on Amazon Review and Giveaway

I know this book isn't cat-related, but I have some friends who have published (or might want to publish) books and thought this book might be helpful for you to know about.

How to Sell Books by the Truckload on Amazon by Penny C. Sansevieri is a must-read for anyone wanting to successfully sell their books on Amazon.  I've given some thought to writing a book in my other area of expertise - psychology - before, and even though I never started the project, I began thinking about writing my own book again while I read this book.

How to Sell Books by the Truckload on Amazon is divided into two parts.  In part one, Sansevieri discusses what authors need to do to be successful book sellers on Amazon.  Part two covers the significance of book reviews as well as how to find people to review your book.

Some of the topics the book covers include:

  • How to find the best keywords to advertise your book on Amazon.
  • The importance of Amazon categories.
  • Strategies for pricing your print and ebooks.
  • How to use Amazon Author Central.
  • How and when to use free ebook promotions.
  • Why book reviews are so important for authors.
  • How to pitch a review request to book reviewers.
  • Tips for getting review requests from book reviewers.
  • Finding the top Amazon reviewers.
  • Responding to reviews.
  • How to utilize Goodreads to promote your book.
Not only does Sansevieri give specific details on how to successfully promote your book, but she also uses her own real life experiences to illustrate how her strategies have worked for her.  She also includes screenshots of web pages so that you can see exactly how to execute specific strategies.

I loved that Sansevieri uses a conversational tone in this book.  I never felt like she was lecturing me like a teacher might do with a student.  Instead, I felt like she was a friend giving me good advice on how to promote a book.  I also love that her chapters are very short; she only discusses a few points per chapter, making the book easy to digest.  It also makes it easy for authors to take specific action steps as they're reading through the book.

The book also comes with red and blue tip cards.  Each tip card gives advice and/or resources you can use to promote your book.

I feel any author who has written a book and wants to sell it on Amazon would really benefit from reading How to Sell Books by the Truckload on Amazon.

  1. Thanks for the information. My book sales aren't what they used to be, and this may help.

  2. The world of book publishing sure has changed. Writers and illustrators no longer expect publishers to promote their work. And many times the writer and or illustrator is also the publisher. Lots of hats; so little time...
