Hi everyone, it's mes, Carmine, today!
Last week, the Mom was getting ready to go out and do some errands, and hers made a phone call while hers was getting ready.
Mes heard hers talking to the VET! Mes ws sitting happily in D's lap, but as soon as mes heard the Mom talking to the vet, mes dove under the bed!
The Mom keeps telling mes the appointment is for LITAS, but mes does not believe hers. Mes thinks it be best to hide under the bed later until hers leaves....what do yous think?
The Mom here: It really is Lita who's going to the vet later today. Poor Carmine doesn't believe me, though.
Lita will be getting another antibiotic injection. I am not sure what we will do from this point. This is supposed to be her last injection. They do seem to help for several days - her coughing dramatically decrease - but then 10-14 days after the injection, she starts coughing more again. I will keep you posted.
Sorry if this is something that has been gone over again and again, but has she had cortisone for the coughing?
ReplyDeleteRelax, Carmine!
Purrs,

We're purring all goes well for Lita today. And Carmine? I do the same thing no matter what cat around her is going to the vet. ~Ernie

ReplyDeletesending purrs and prayers that she has relief for much, much longer
ReplyDeleteWe're purring for Lita and hope it helps her longer. Purrs
ReplyDeletePaws crossed for Lita. We're purring hard for her.
ReplyDeletePurrayers for Lita - and you and Mom too !
ReplyDeleteSending purrs!
ReplyDeleteCarmine, I'd keep hiding if I were you! Best to be extra careful! Sending purrs to Lita.
ReplyDeleteDon't trust her, Carmine! Your mom and the vet are co-conspirators ;)
ReplyDeleteStay hidden Carmine. You just can't tell with the Vet.
ReplyDeleteI hope Lita has success this time with the anti biotic.....sounds like an element is missing to keep the sneezing away.
Shoko and Kali
I am praying this last injection makes her all better. I know the antibiotic injection has an anti inflammatory effect that may be helping- is there something else that could do the same and be used long term? XO
ReplyDeleteCarmine, you are funny! We kitties do have a sixth sense about the vet, though! I had to go today for a health certificate for my trip this weekend, and when my human picked me up to put on my harness, I totally tensed up! Which I never do. But I knew I was going to that place where they stick thermometers into your behind!
ReplyDeleteActually, it wasn't a bad trip - kind of fun, in fact! Except for the thermometer part.
And yes, I'm sending LOTS of purrs to Lita!
Deletewow, Carmine, how cool that you know when your mom is talking to the v-e-t! definitely stay hidden :) better to be safe.
ReplyDeletelots of purrs for Lita!

I swear I used to have to go OUTSIDE to make calls to the Vet office because Admiral would go hide under my bed after I started taking to the, to set up a time. Admiral was very sick the last year of her life and went at least once a week. I could talk to anyone else on the phone and she stayed where she was. Somehow she knew when it was the Vet. I had to go OUTSIDE with the phone and make the calls.
ReplyDeleteThis is all so difficult, and we are sorry Lita and you are having such a hard go at it. As always, we are purring and praying!
