Hi everybody, it's mes, Gabriel! Guess what today be? Go ahead....guess!
Mama says today be my HALF-BIRTHDAY! Hers says it be my half-birthday 'cause me is SIX whole months old today! Can yous believe it?! Mama sure can't!
Me had a busy first six months of life.
First, me was rescued from outside when me was teeeeeeeny tiny (only 5 ounces!!).
Then, me was taken from de shelter by de nice peoples at Colorado Feline Foster Rescue where mes stayed with my brother and three sisters with a really nice foster family (where my sister, Willow, ended up being a foster fail!).
Then, mes came to live with Mama and Giovanni when me was just 10 weeks old.
Mes and Mama thought yous might like to see some photos from my first six months of life, so here we be...
Here me is with Mama the first day we met when me was just nine weeks old. Hers kept wavering between whether to take mes or my orange brother, Cedar, home. So mes made super sure hers knew it was supposed to be me that belonged with hers and Giovanni! Phew, that was a close one. Thankfully, Mama is good at listening with hers heart and hers heard mes!
Here mes is shortly after mes came to live with Mama and Giovanni. Me sure loves Giovanni! He mostly likes mes, too, except when mes suckles on hims.....and me still does that much more than hims would like. MOL!
But wes play together every night at playtime, and wes like to chase each other around de house!

Me is actually not a bed cat, but mes did crawl into Tylan's old Squishmallow bed one day, and Mama thought it was super cute!

Here mes is at my vet at my last kitten vaccination appointment. You sure do gotta get poked and prodded a lot when you be a kitten! Me is done now until next year!

Mama noticed right away that mes is a jumper—mes loves to be up high! In fact, the first day mes came home, mes bounded up to de top of the six-foot-tall cat tree. Mama said, "Uh-oh...." MOL! Me sleeps at de top of this cat tree every night after mes has my dinner.

Me loves this little cat tree, especially the tunnel part! Mes has lots and lots of naps in here to rest up to play, play, play, and bounce off de walls.

From the time mes was tiny, mes has loved to jump on Mama's back and climb up to her shoulders and wrap myself around her neck. Me does this a lot when Mama be at the kitchen counter preparing noms or washing dishes. Mes jumps with so much force sometimes, mes makes Mama sway. Mama says mes is going to get too big to do this soon. Mes disagrees—mes will never be too big!

Mes loves to sunbathe in this windowsill or on one of de dining room chairs. The sun be nice and warm on my furs.
Here be a few other fun things Mama has learned about me so far...
- My favoritest toys are springs!
- Me really loves my Turbo Track with the light-up ball.
- Mes suckles....a lot, on Mama, on Giovanni, on my blankie on Mama's bed.
- Me sleeps with Mama at least part of every night, right by hers pillow.
- Mes doesn't mind strangers. In fact, mes is rather curious about new peoples when theys come to visit.
- Me wants to try everything Mama eats. Hers usually says, "No, Gabie, that's not for kittens," but hers does give mes a few bites of plain cooked chicken sometimes!
