Mancat Monday: Carmine Has Important News

Hi everyone, Carmine here with some very important news.

Last week, my sister Milita came with me to the stabby place.  The Mom had noticed some behavior and mood changes in her, and she was getting worried.  Sometimes Milita doesn't even finish her dinner, and anyone who knows Milita, knows she's a chowhound enjoys her foods.

After a thorough examination, the vet discovered Milita has some serious periodontal disease right now that is causing her some problems.  Milita currently has a mouth infection and needs to have 7 or 8 teeth extracted in order for her mouth to heal.

There is a very real possibility that the infection spreads to her heart, lungs, or kidneys without the dental surgery my sister needs.

As many of you know, our mom is disabled and lives on a limited, fixed income.  Our vet does not do any kind of payment plan, even with long-time clients like us.  The Mom does not qualify for Care Credit, either, due to the limited fixed income she has.

That's why we are hoping some of you can help us raise the funds Milita needs for her dental surgery so hers can get well.

If you are not able to give, could you please share our fundraiser with others?  We really want to get Milita well again!

Robin from Playful Kitty made this graphic for our fundraiser.  You are welcome to share it on your blog if you like.

You can donate to Milita's dental surgery HERE

  1. Oh poor Milita! We purr that she gets the care she needs. We'll ask the mom if we can give some green papers.

(Maybe the CB could put together an auction for Milita?)

    1. Thank you Wally, Ernie, and Zoey! We are pretty worried about Milita, but the fundraiser is going well so with a little luck, she might be able to have her surgery by the end of the month! I'd love for her to feel better and get healthy!

  4. Poor Milita. I am sending lots of purrs for her. I will ask mum to send some green papers but I'm afraid it won't be many because she has just paid another big vet bill for me.

  9. OMC! Is that like the Stomatitis that Mario had. Definitely look into the links da Trout Towne Tabbies gave or look for a different vet who will let you pay slowly. Sending her healing purrz.

  10. Oh, poor Milita! The vet is right... periodontal disease can affect the whole body (whether you are a cat, human or another mammal). But the vet is SO wrong, not letting you do credit! Paws crossed you come up with the amount you need. I'll see if I can get my human to chip in something.

  14. I went to donate last night, but I don't think this website accepts PayPal? I don't have too much too give, but I know little amounts can add up. If you have PayPal let me know and maybe I can just send mine direct.
