We have been using Dr. Elsey's cat litter for years, so we were excited to try out this particular formula of litter when Chewy offered it up for review this month.
Dr. Elsey's Clean Tracks Multi-Cat Strength Clumping Cat Litter contains no scent and is 99.9% dust-free. Both of these qualities are very important to me. Even though Lita (who had severe asthma) has gone to the Bridge, certain scents and dust really bother my asthma as well. Using a dust-free litter is essential to me.
The litter is made with natural ingredients. The litter may be good for cats and humans with certain allergies because it contains no plant proteins. The litter is made in the US.
The litter was easy to open and pour. Pouring it did not set off my asthma.
Tylan decided he better supervise.
Tylan and Carmine both ejoy kicking the litter out of the box. I can say that the litter does not track much.
The odor control was similar to other litters we've tried. Tylan's poop is particularly smelly, and I haven't found a litter that actually helps with the smell as of yet.
My only real complaint about this litter is that it sticks to the box. It's very difficult to scoop the box with as much as it sticks.
I really like Dr. Elsey's litter. If they could figure out how to keep it from sticking to the box so much, that would be fantastic!

FTC Disclosure: We received a 20-pound box of Dr. Elsey's Clean Tracks Multi-Cat Strength Clumping Cat Litter for a fair and honest review. Receiving the litter did not influence my opinions in any way. All opinions expressed on Fur Everywhere are my own.
Dang, sticking to the box sure doesn't make it easy.
ReplyDeleteWe have some of that litter to try too. Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review, and a photo of Tylan too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your review on this litter. Maybe some cat owners with give it a chance with it being dust-free. That could be a big plus for some people. Love seeing Tylan doing some snoopervising and making sure it's all going right. Have a wonderful day.

Great review ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your honest review. I don't like it when litter sticks to the pan.
ReplyDeleteWe are all litter flingers around here - which means, even if it doesn't track, some still does wind up on the floor!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your review! That litter sounds good, except for the sticking to the pan part.

I wish litter wouldn't stick either. We have top entry boxes which really helps with litter scatter.
