Cole: Over the Rainbow Bridge

 

Some of you might remember this awesome mancat from my posts many years ago. I met Cole (formerly Coltrane) and Cash (formerly Crash) at Cat Care Society in 2013. I fell in love with the pair immediately! Cole looked a lot like Lita, and I understood and connected with Cash in a way most of the shelter staff didn't. 

Cole endeared everyone to him. I don't know any shelter employee or volunteer who didn't love Cole as much as I did. He was such a sweet and gentle mancat. 

I was spending a lot of time with Jewel in the vet clinic that used to be in the basement of Cat Care's building. After every visit, I'd have to wait for paratransit to show up and take us home, so I'd go up to the shelter and visit the adoptable cats. At least twice a month, I'd go upstairs, find Cole, and if he wasn't with Cash already, I'd pick him up and take him to wherever Cash was. I'd hug Cole and pet Cash and talk to them. Most of the time, Cole smelled nice, as he'd absorb the perfume everyone wore when they carried him around all day. 

I wanted to take Cole and Cash home so much, but my situation simply didn't allow for it. I knew these best friends were a pair of incredibly special mancats.

Savannah is an adorable brown tabby with short hair.  She is sweet, affectionate, and enjoys being pet.  She gets along with some dogs as well as other cats.  

Savannah came to the shelter when her human passed away.  She would really love to find a new human companion to love.  

Savannah will be 13 years old in a few months.  Because she is an awesome senior cat, she is in the Perpet-U-Care program, which will pay for a portion of her medical care for the rest of her life.

You can visit Savannah in the Gold room at Cat Care Society, located at 5787 W. 6th Avenue in Lakewood, CO.  She will be waiting for your visit!  

AN OPT TO ADOPT UPDATE

Do you remember this adorable pair?  They're Crash and Coltrane!  They're two very sweet, precious Siamese mancats and best friends.  After spending much time at the shelter, Crah and Coltrane got a forever home with a nice couple!  

I sure will miss you sweet boys, but I'm really happy you found your forever.  You two deserve the very best, and I'm sure you'll get plenty spoiled at your new home!

Easy Like Sunday

Crash is one of my very favorite kitties awaiting a forever home at Cat Care Society.  Here, he's taking it easy.

Since I haven't been to the shelter in about 3 weeks, I miss Crash a lot.  I plan to take a special trip to see him this week if it's cooler (I have to walk to the shelter from the bus, which is about 3/4 mile, and I cannot walk that far in super-hot weather without triggering an asthma attack).

Crash is a sweet Siamese mancat.  Typically, he will come over to say "hello" to me whenever I walk into the shelter.

Cat Care's "Sweethearts" Adoption Special

VALENTINE'S SPECIAL FOR BONDED PAIRS AND TRIO

CAT CARE SOCIETY, LAKEWOOD, CO

During February, Cat Care Society is having an adoption special on all its bonded pairs as well as one trio.  "Senior Sweethearts" include Cirrus, Muggins, and Braveheart and Wind-Up and Ohms.  Adoption fees for "Senior Sweethearts" are flexible, and all seniors come with the Perpet-U-Care program, which covers a portion of kitty's veterinary expenses at The Cat Clinic at Cat Care Society for the rest of kitty's life.

All "Adult Sweethearts" have an adoption fee of $75 per pair.  Available "Adult Sweethearts" are Crash and Coltrane, Isaac and Gracie, Lenny and Leo, and Kyrie and Kiki.

I've spent a significant amount of time visiting with Crash and Coltrane.  They would make great companions for anyone looking to add two wonderful kitties to their home.

Crash has a great personality!  He is shy and quiet around strangers, but once you get to know him, he opens up.  He is nervous around other kitties, but really loves people.  

Coltrane is very outgoing and loves being hugged and pet.  He warms up to people pretty quickly.  I'm a handsome 7 year-old lynx-point Siamese mix, and Crash is a 9 year-old seal point Siamese mix.

We came to the shelter when our humans had a baby.  They didn't need to give us away; we would have been very kind to the little one.  

We would prefer a home without dogs.  We are the best of friends and want to be adopted together.  We really compliment one another and make a great pair of companions!

COLTRANE AND CRASH

As most of you know, I have two special needs cats in the house, so we are at Cat Care Society very often, and I always make sure I have some time to visit the babies while I'm there.  Today's featured kitties are two of my favorite boys at the shelter.  They are both so sweet and special.  It'll be bittersweet to see them go, but they really deserve a wonderful home, so let's help them find one! :)

Coltrane is a very easygoing cat.  He loves just about everybody!  He loves to be picked up and carried around and will sit in your lap and let you pet him.  He's a very handsome lynx-point Siamese.  

Coltrane and his best friend Crash came to the shelter together when their former owners had a new baby and decided to give them up.  They want to find a new home together.  They both prefer a home without young children or dogs.

Crash is a beautiful seal-point Siamese mancat.  Crash is shy and takes a little time to warm up to new people.  I've visited with him many times, and he regularly lets me pet him now. :)  

These two are very sweet boys, and they'd make great companions!  They are both neutered, up-to-date on routine vaccinations, and litter box trained.  

You can visit Coltrane and Crash in the shelter hallway at Cat Care Society; they can often be found together.
